Estates across the metroplex.
The DFW luxury market is anchored in Preston Hollow, Highland Park, University Park, and the newer estate corridors of Southlake and Westlake. Our Central Texas team covers all of them — most projects start with a walk-through of an existing home rather than a blank lot.
A market driven by renovation.
Dallas is a renovation market first. The core luxury neighborhoods — Preston Hollow, Highland Park, University Park — have long-established housing stock, and the highest-end integration work is almost always inside a home that was built decades ago and is being systematically re-worked room by room. That changes the integration playbook. You're pulling new wire through existing walls, working around finished millwork, and coordinating with contractors who specialize in high-end historic restoration.
Farther out — Southlake, Westlake, and the far north metroplex — the picture is closer to Austin's Hill Country: large-lot new construction on generous land budgets. We handle both. The Central Texas team covers the entire DFW metroplex, and for large projects we bring in additional programmers from the California studio.

Preston Hollow formal cinema.
A Preston Hollow estate with a dedicated formal cinema wing, whole-home Crestron control, Kaleidescape movie library, and DM NVX video distribution across twelve zones. The cinema is acoustically treated, uses a Barco Residential projector, and seats twelve.
The project involved coordination with the estate's existing renovation team and required the cinema to be built inside an existing lower-level wing without disrupting the finished millwork above. Wire pathways were routed through service corridors and mechanical spaces.

The first difference is scale. DFW estate homes are large — 10,000 to 25,000 square feet is common in the primary luxury corridors. That means longer wire runs, more zones, larger racks, and more attention to distribution architecture. We use Crestron DM NVX video over IP on almost every DFW estate project because copper matrix simply doesn't scale to the room counts.
The second is millwork. Preston Hollow and Highland Park interiors are millwork-heavy — coffered ceilings, paneled libraries, custom cabinetry. Speaker placement, keypad integration, and display concealment all have to be coordinated with the millwork shop early. We supply CAD blocks for every device and location to the millworker at the design development phase so nothing gets discovered at rough-in.
The third is climate control integration. DFW summers demand tight HVAC scheduling, and DFW clients expect automation to include HVAC scenes coordinated with shading and lighting. Every DFW project we take on includes HVAC integration on top of the standard AV/lighting/shading scope.
Frequently asked.
Do you work with DFW builders and remodelers?
Yes. We coordinate with GCs, cabinetmakers, and interior designers active in Preston Hollow, Highland Park, University Park, and Southlake. Introductions to the local trade are welcome — many of our DFW projects have come through referrals from existing California clients who relocated to Texas.
Can you handle a full estate integration in DFW?
Yes. Our largest DFW project to date included 12 video zones, 24 audio zones, three theaters, and full HVAC and shading integration in a single home. The Central Texas team scales to large estates with support from the California engineering team.
How do you handle service in DFW?
The Central Texas team handles on-site service across the DFW metroplex. Remote monitoring and 24/7 support are handled from the California studio for all Texas clients. Studio and Reserve service members get same-business-day response for business-hours calls.
